The Charging Journey Begins

Dean and Ethan were on a trip to Europe in the summer of 2023 when their phones were running dangerously low on battery. While exploring the streets of Barcelona, they came across a sleek, self-serve portable charging station. It wasn’t just convenient—it felt like a lifeline in the moment.

That single experience left a lasting impression.

"We’d never seen anything like this back home," Dean recalled. "We thought—why doesn’t this exist in our city?"

When they returned to the U.S., the seed of a business idea had already taken root. Motivated by the simplicity and potential of the concept, they began researching mobile charging solutions. It didn’t take long before they discovered ChargerGoGo. After comparing several companies, they were struck by how different ChargerGoGo felt:

  • Transparent support and responsive communication
  • A system that was simple to operate and scale
  • True ownership—no franchise fees, no middlemen

As Ethan put it: "ChargerGoGo didn’t just sell us a product. They gave us a real business model."

It was a clear opportunity to build something scalable, flexible, and future-proof—on their own terms. So they took the leap.

Starting from Scratch with 20 Stations

They launched with 20 machines. Not because they had venues lined up, but because they wanted to lock in better wholesale pricing and bet on themselves.

They had no playbook. No funding. Just a belief in one simple truth: people always need to charge their phones, especially in bars, venues, and nightlife hotspots.

Their strategy was grassroots—and it worked:

  1. Leverage what you know, Dean and Ethan had experience in the bar and events scene as DJs. They tapped into those relationships to get connected with venue managers and GMs. This gave them warm introductions and built instant credibility.
  2. Avoid the “sales guy” trap. Instead of going in and asking for the manager right away, they built rapport with the staff. Bartenders and hosts became allies. They’d ask:
  3. Show up in person. Cold emails and DMs rarely work. But showing up in person—especially during off-hours—opened doors for real conversations.

They also made sure to avoid high-traffic times like dinner rushes. Timing and respect went a long way.

30+ Stations and Counting

Their network now spans multiple states: Georgia, Alabama, and South Carolina.

What started with a handful of local placements has grown into a connected network of portable charging stations across the Southeast. Dean and Ethan have strategically deployed their units in college towns, nightlife hubs, and entertainment venues—places where phone battery anxiety is a daily pain point.

Their growth has been fueled by grit, consistency, and word-of-mouth. They’ve focused on building real relationships, showing up in person, and proving value—venue by venue.

One of their biggest wins?

“A venue messaged us asking for a station. That’s when we knew this was real.” – Dean

That moment marked a turning point—from pitching and proving the model, to managing growing demand. Today, they’re less focused on outbound outreach and more on opportunity management—deciding which leads and locations offer the best ROI and strategic fit.

The Future: Charging Ahead

Dean and Ethan see ChargerGoGo not just as a business, but as a blueprint for sustainable income and personal freedom.

  • Their short-term goal is to consistently earn $1,500 to $2,000 per week in passive income
  • Their long-term vision includes expansion into festivals, amusement parks, hospitals, and anywhere with high foot traffic and dying batteries
  • As Dean put it: “We want people to walk into a venue and already know what ChargerGoGo is.”

Their system runs quietly in the background, requiring minimal maintenance and oversight. It’s more than income—it’s independence.

And the most surprising insight?

“We didn’t need to invent anything. Just solve a real problem in the real world.” – Ethan

Thinking About Becoming a Distribution Partner?

Dean and Ethan didn’t start with a big team or deep pockets. They started with curiosity, a willingness to learn, and the drive to act.

Their advice? Start where you are. Use the skills and relationships you already have. Talk to real people. Show up. Be consistent. And watch what happens when you commit.

“You don't need to build the next big app or invent something new. You just need to solve a problem people face every day.” – Ethan

There’s an opportunity hiding in plain sight—waiting for the right person to plug it in and power it forward.
